In our busy lives we have a million things (not to forget thoughts) going on at any one time. We run from one task to another and more often than not we tend to cater for other peoples needs before we even begin to think about ourselves. This is normal for "most of us" and though some may say that the opposite to this way of being would be egotistical and selfish, why would caring for yourself be bad.
I remember once being told that one can only love others if one loves oneself, with age I have to say that I completely relate to that and I see it as a really important part on my life. If I don't care enough for myself to "mind myself and love myself" then how can i fully pass it forward? It won't work! Try it and see. Yes, you may do things for others with a smile and a laugh but if "your heart isn't in it" then it won't be as effective.
So what can I DO FOR ME? Lots and lots of wonderful things :-)
Breath Eat Walk Rest Run Socialise Take time out the list goes on and on ...
The most important thing is for YOU to find what makes YOU happy! Remember what you suggest to a friend may not suit you! We are very quick to give others advice but do we listen to them or would we even take our own if we gave them out? So, I suggest ... take some time and talk to yourself and ask yourself what do YOU NEED to feel great?
